BACCO Training Lab embarks on empowering BPO industry

In a pivotal move to nurture skilled talent in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, ‘BACCO Training Lab’ a pioneering entity within BPO/Outsourcing industry, kicked off its journey by organizing an upskilling training session titled ‘Advanced Customer Service’ for BPO industry professionals on Sunday. 

This landmark initiative is a collaborative endeavors between the ‘Bangladesh Association of Contact Centers and Outsourcing (BACCO)’ and the ‘Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP)’ – a special project under the purview of the Finance Department. The project is funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The inauguration of the BACCO Training Lab was conducted with great enthusiasm and was graced by prominent figures in the industry. Senior Vice 

President of BACCO Mohd Abul Khair, and General Secretary Touhid Hossain jointly inaugurated the lab, signifying its importance in the realm of skill development. 

Dr. Tanjiba Rahman and Md. Fazlul Haque, both Directors of BACCO were also present at the event. The SEIP-BACCO Project Chief Coordinator Md. Mahtabul Haq added to the significance of the occasion.

The BACCO Training Lab is now poised to host a series of regular training programs and workshops, equipped with state-of-the-art computer facilities. The lab's current mission is to offer a diverse range of technology-driven skill development programs, contributing to the nation's journey towards a digital and smart economy, aligned with the challenges and opportunities presented by the fourth industrial revolution.

This groundbreaking initiative underlines Bangladesh's commitment to nurturing a highly skilled and adaptable workforce, further solidifying its position in the global ICT landscape.
