B’baria municipality announces Tk 167cr budget

Md Mafukur Rahman Jackie from Brahmanbaria. The proposed budget of Brahmanbaria Municipality for the financial year 2022-2023 has been announced. In this proposed budget, the potential income is estimated at 167 crore 78 lakh 16 thousand taka.

The cost has been estimated at 163 crore 94 lakh 55 thousand taka.

Mayor Mrs. Nair Kabir announced this budget through a press conference at Municipal Community Center on Saturday at 11:00 am. In the budget, the potential revenue has been estimated from municipal taxes, rates, license fees, haat bazar, pond and terminal lease, municipal property rent, commercial market salami, municipal water supply and climate change etc. Potential expenditure has been identified in the areas of health and sanitation, tax collection and assessment, tree planting and maintenance, construction of children's parks, grants to social and religious institutions, development of municipal auditoriums and raw markets and expansion of cattle markets. The closing status of the budget is 3 crore 83 lakh 60 thousand taka. Mayor Nair Kabir presided over the budget program as a guest Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Rahul Amin, Additional Superintendent of Police Mollah Mohammad Shaheen, Municipal Chief Executive Officer Abdul Quddus, Brahmanbaria Press Club President Riaz Uddin Jami, General Secretary Javed Rahim Bijan. Reporters of various media working in the district were present in the budget session.
