The first solo art exhibition by emerging artist Azwad Ahmed, titled “The Luminous Shade of Solitude,” was inaugurated on Thursday at Gallery Chitrak.
Curated by Professor Nisar Hossain, the exhibition presents a thoughtful selection of Ahmed’s recent works, exploring themes of silence, introspection, and emotional restraint.
The opening ceremony was attended by a distinguished audience comprising artists, critics, academics, and art enthusiasts.
Renowned artist Professor Emeritus Rafiqun Nabi graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while eminent artists Professor Mohammed Eunus and Javed Jalil were present as Special Guests. Professor Nisar Hossain was the curator of the Exhibition. The event was presided over by noted art critic Professor Moinuddin Khaled, who reflected on the exhibition’s contemplative nature and its significance within contemporary visual discourse.
Guests speaking at the inauguration highlighted Azwad Ahmed’s subtle yet evocative visual language, observing that his restrained expressions evoke deep emotional and intellectual resonance.
The artworks invite quiet contemplation, drawing viewers into a reflective space where meaning emerges through attentive observation rather than overt narration. “The Luminous Shade of Solitude” will remain open to the public from December 18 to 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.
