At the beginning of her acting career, Shanarei Devi Shanu Devi paired up in a number of dramas with actor Azizul Hakim. The last time they acted opposite each other was three years ago. Now after a long break they will once more appear on screen together.
The pair recently completed shooting a drama which will be aired on Bangladesh Television. The name of the drama is 'Boi Bibhrat'. The drama was written by Roibbhyo Ahmed and produced by Md Mahfuzar Rahman.
The story of the drama revolves around a book which disappeared fifty years ago which results in a large fine. Mahmud Sajjad, Waheeda Mallick Jolly and Saeed Babu also appear in various roles in the drama.
Azizul Hakim said, ‘The story of the drama focuses on the book and the story is absolutely an exceptional story, so I loved the work. Right now, there is a lack of unique stories. As such, ‘Boi Bibhrat’ is a very exceptional drama compared to others of this time. It's been great working with Shanu after a long time. Shanu acts quite well. Hopefully the drama will be quite enjoyable for the audience.’
Shanarei Devi Shanu said, ‘Hakim Bhai is an immensely talented actor. In fact, I have seen many of his dramas as a child. I never thought that I would work with him as a co-star. Hakim Bhai is not just a good actor, he is also a good-hearted man. Since I am also involved with writing, I enjoyed working in this drama.’
The drama 'Boi Bibhrat' will be aired on Bangladesh Television at 9 pm on February 1st, the beginning of language month. Meanwhile, Azizul Hakim is regularly appearing in the new serial 'Boka Bhoot' drama on Duronto TV directed by Animesh Aich. In the upcoming Ekushey Book Fair, Shanu's novel 'Lipstick' and poetry book 'Priyotomo Megh' will be published.
