Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) organized an awareness program under the SCIP Plastics Project on the topic of ‘Plastic pollution prevention and sustainable management’ under the slogan ‘Use jute as an alternative to plastic by creating awareness’.
CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was the chief guest in the awareness program organized at CUET School and College premises on Monday.
Scientific Director of SCIP Plastic Project and Professor of Civil Engineering Department Dr. Mosa Farzana Rahman Juthi presided over the meeting. Scientific Expert of SCIP Plastic Project and Head of Department of Civil Engineering Professor Dr. Asiful Haque, Director of Research and Extension Directorate Professor Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik were the special guests. CUET School and College Governing Body Sub-Committee Chairman (Academic) Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman Bhuiyan and CUET School and College Principal Runu Mazumdar.
SCIP Plastic Project research assistant Farzana Khan, research assistant Nishat Tasnim Nisha moderated the meeting.
Hundreds of students of CUET School and College participated in the awareness program. Before this, an exchange meeting was held with teachers and students in the seminar room of Civil Engineering Department of CUET.
