Civil Surgeon of Kishoreganj Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman said, “Covid-19 vaccine is knocking at the door. Probably within the next 15 days we will receive the vaccine”.
He added, the Covid Vaccine Deployment Committee has already been formed. The health department is working to distribute the vaccine properly with the help of district administration. The vaccine will be distributed in the district as per the instructions of the Health Ministry.
The Civil Surgeon said this while presiding over an awareness programme on prevention of CDC (Covid-19 and Dengue) at the conference room of Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital on Thursday. He also said that one has to apply for the Covid-19 vaccine through Surakkha apps. Each person will be vaccinated in 2 doses. The second dose will be given 2 months after the first dose. Corona vaccine will be given to the frontline fighters on a priority basis. Individuals under the age of 18 will not be covered by this vaccine.
Dr. Md. Helal Uddin, Superintendent of 250-bed General Hospital was present as the chief guest at the workshop while, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman presented the awareness report on Corona Virus and Dengue.
