A meeting on ‘Awareness and Planning about Vitamin A Plus Campaign-2020’ was held under the auspices of Chuadanga Civil Surgeon Office at its conference room on Wednesday.
Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP from Chuadanga-1 constituency and President of District Awami League, was present at the event as the chief guest. Jahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police and Mohammad Yahia Khan, ADC attended as special guests.
Dr Maruf Hasan of Chuadanga Health Department delivered welcome speech at the meeting. It was addressed, among others, by Dr Ataur Rahman, Health and Family Planning Officer, and Dr Shamim Kabir, RMO of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP, said that the programme would be succeeded, if everybody of the health department and others work jointly at grass root level. He called upon all to make the programme as success.
He also called for maintaining health rules in the period of COVID-19. Later, he fed vitamin A plus capsule to a baby as inauguration of the programme.
