A seminar titled ‘Abuj Tumi Sabuj Hao’ was held at the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) on Tuesday. Abdul Latif, a cleaner of the university was the chief guest at the seminar held at the Faculty of Social Science building. In an exceptional event, a teacher called for a month to refrain from using plastic and polythene wrapped in a polythene bag.
The center of the seminar was the teacher's student attractions and discussion, which included the teacher's polythene-clad robes and chief guest cleaner Latif. Lecturer and Inlept Director of Local Government and Urban Development Department Sadik Hassan Shuvo spoke about protecting the environment and climate while wearing a polythene wrap. At the seminar, the speakers highlighted the harmful aspects of plastic and called for not to use of these harmful substances.
Sadik Hasan Shuvo said, "At the seminar we have made a guest who is the chief guest who understands how difficult it is to clean man-made waste. Going beyond the traditional methods of awareness, we have to make this great person the chief guest. The polythene that is visible in my garment, after a month of marketing it, left the polyethylene stored, which would have made the earth ugly, as it now looks ugly to me. '
