Bangladesh cricket board announced the schedule for both Bangladesh- Ireland and Bangladesh-Australia series on Wednesday, March 11. Bangladesh will face Ireland in May and Australia in June. Bangladesh will fly to Ireland for three ODI and four T20 matches there on May 8. Then will host Australia in June for two test match.

The Ireland series will be played in two different venues. First three ODI will be played in Belfast’s Stormont cricket ground on May 14, 16 and 19. The Twenty20 series will be held in England’s neutral venue. The first match will be played in London’s Oval on May 22. The last three match will be hosted in Chelmsford, Bristol and Edgbaston on 24, 27 and 29th of May.

Bangladesh team will then come to home on 30th May and will host Australia. Bangladesh will face Australia for a two match Test series on 11th June. June is one of the wettest months in Bangladesh, with the BCB having hosted one Test in 2015, a rainy draw against India in Fatullah. Considering the 120 points at stake - at 60 points for a win per Test match - the wet conditions put Bangladesh and Australia's ability to earn maximum points at risk.

Series first test will be played from 11th to 15 June at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. After three day break the final match will start from 19th June at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. This will be Australia’s third Test tour of Bangladesh, having played Tests here in 2006 and 2017. Bangladesh, however, have not played Test in Australia since 2003.

Australia will play a four day practice match before the first test against Bangladesh. Practice match date and venue is not confirmed yet. The last time this two team faced each other in 2017 at SBNS in Dhaka. Where Bangladesh team got their first test victory against the Aussies, the series was draw 1-1. Winning the first test by 20 run margin, Bangladesh got beaten in the last match against them at ZACS in Chittagong.
