If the environment of Chittagong survives and Karnafhuli is free from pollution, nature will survive, and if nature survives, the country will survive. Karnafhuli must be saved to save the existence of the country and to bring back the heritage of Chittagong. The government is trying in various ways to bring back Chittagong and Karnafhuli. But due to various excuses, indifference and irresponsibility of the concerned authorities, the environment of Chittagong and Karnafhuli are going to be destroyed, it cannot be allowed to happen. Therefore, the implementation of the government's plan to protect the environment of Chittagong and to prevent the pollution of Karnafhuli should be more strict. Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar made the remarks as the chief guest in the third day campaign of the month-long cleanliness campaign organized by the environmental organization Ad Vision Bangladesh.
Awareness of the third day of the month-long clean-up campaign in 41 wards of Chittagong city under the slogan "Don't throw garbage and stop the use of polythene" in the initiative of National Environment and Climate Voluntary Organization Ad Vision Bangladesh in Station Road, Reazuddin Bazar area of the city on Saturday afternoon.
Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor said, "Chittagong is an aesthetic, historical, beautiful environment, surrounded by sea and hills, but it is becoming uninhabitable due to lack of civic awareness." In order to protect the city of Chittagong, civic awareness is essential in the implementation of the development plan of the government to protect the aesthetic and natural beauty and to build a modern, aesthetic and clean city.
