Actress Aupee Karim's father, poet and writer Syed Abdul Karim passes away. He took his last breathe on Wednesday midnight (March 25) (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun). He was 75 years old at the time of his death.
The information has been confirmed by playwright-director Rumman Rashid Khan, who is close to the Karim family. According to family sources, Syed Abdul Karim died in his sleep at midnight.
He had been suffering from diabetes for a long time. He returned home a few days ago after recovering from the hospital. Meanwhile, his janaza held on Thursday (March 25) after Johor at Azimpur Central Mosque. Syed Abdul Karim was a life member of Bangla Academy.
In addition to basic writing, he has translated many Norwegian children's literature.
