‘August 1975’ to be aired on “Cinebuzz” today

'August 1975' is movie about the tragic killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family on the dark night of 15th August, directed and produce by Selim Khan, the Bangladesh Film Censor Board has given permission to screen the film without any cuts on August 10.

The movie will air on the app 'Cinebuzz' on the national mourning day, 15th August (today), due to Coronavirus.  The producer and the director of the film 'August 1975' does not want to release the movie in theaters right now due to the ongoing epidemic. 

He said, ‘Most cinema halls are closed because of Corona. Some halls are open but running in isolation. I don't want to give so much anticipation to the movie now. If the situation is normal, I want to release it in the theater. But for now we are releasing the film in "Cinebuzz" on 15th August to mark our national mourning day’, he added.

Shamim Ahmed Rony has written the melancholic history of the killing of the father of our nation on the midnight of 15th August, till his burial on 16th August, has been portrayed on 'August 1975'.
