Locals formed a human chain protesting attack on Ataur Rahman, Headmaster of Chakchampak Small Government Primary School in Naogaon's Manda upazila on Tuesday morning.
The human chain was formed at Panjarbhanga Bazar of the upazila. Speakers at the human chain demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the attack on teacher Ataur Rahman.
Ataur Rahman's elder brother Tofazzal Hossain, residents of Chakchampak village Mozaffar Hossain, Abed Ali and others spoke during the human chain.
On October 21, Ataur Rahman was attacked at Panjarbhanga Bazar area in the upazila on his way to Upazila Sadar. A complaint was filed with Manda Police Station on the same day. So far, police was unable to arrest any accused in the incident.
