Students of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Comilla University (CoU) protested the beating that was inflicted on Md. Rubel a student of Mass communication Department by a student of Bengali Department over a trivial matter.
After six days, in demand of justice, the students of the department held a human chain on the main road of the university on Sunday.
From the human chain, students demanded, ‘no more attack on the campus in future.’ Students also demanded a quick trial of the miscreants.
University Proctor Dr. Kazi Mohammad Kamal Uddin said, ‘We have formed an inquiry committee to investigate the incident.
An investigation report has been prepared. We will submit this report to the Registrar. Action will be taken as per this report soon.”
