Atm Shamsuzzaman hospitalised again

Veteran actor ATM Shamsuzzaman is seriously ill again. He was admitted to Bangabandhu Medical College Hospital on Tuesday (November 27th).

His daughter, Koel, confirmed this information. She said ATM Shamsuzzaman was suffering from the complications of defecation. He has not been able to defecate for three days. As a result, stomach pain and gas problems have arisen.

He was taken to the hospital at 12 noon on Tuesday for critical condition. Doctors suggested admission after seeing him. He was later admitted to a room in the cabin block of Bangabandhu Medical College Hospital.

In fact, ATM Shamsuzzaman has been suffering from chronic illness for a long time. The actor was admitted to Azgar Ali Hospital in the capital on the night of April 27, after feeling ill suddenly.

He was taken to the operation theater on an emergency basis on April 28 at noon. There the surgery was successfully completed. He was transferred to the cabin in the morning of April 30. But on May 3, his condition deteriorated, and he was put on life support at around 1pm.

His life support was opened on the morning of May 13 due to some improvement in condition. He was kept under close observation.

Then on May 13, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina took charge of his treatment. A cheque of Tk 10 lakh was given by the Prime Minister. The Ekushey Padak-winning actor was transferred to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical. He was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College on June 15.

After four months of treatment there, he returned home on August 28. Once again he got sick and had to be hospitalised. Members of his family have sought the blessings of the countrymen for the actor.
