Post her debut in 2015 with Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Hero’, star-kid Athiya Shetty went ahead and worked in the multi-starrer ‘Mubarakan’ in 2017. With her third and upcoming outing, this year, ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’, her potential as a mainstream actress in theHindi film industry looks promising. Touted to be an unconventional love story, ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’, has the talented actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the protagonist. According to reports, the actress is rather, ‘in awe of the script’.
She spoke about it to media stating that her upcoming film is about two people who have embarked on a journey together. She feels that the story of ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’ is intriguing. This would be the first time that Athiya would be seen portraying the role of a small town girl. She feels that since this is a first time for her, and it would be ‘refreshing’ change. She also states that this was a challenging part as an actor.
Talking about her co-star, the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ actor, Nawazuddin, she said that his spontaneity and his skill as an actor her own performance got better because acting is about reacting to your co-star.
The trailer has already garnered hits and Athiya is reported to have said that she was glad she chose this film and is looking forward to it. She had earlier refused this role only because she felt that she would not be able to pull this off however, she was comfortable doing the challenging role. —Times of India
