ASS urges people to fight against corruption

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Secretary Mahbub Hossain said, corruption cannot be stopped by law only. The people of Bangladesh, the youth must come forward. 

The Anti-Corruption Commission is working for those who still do not follow the rules and pay attention to irregularities. They will look into all the issues. The Prime Minister believes in zero tolerance in curbing corruption. This is our expectation that even if corruption is not completely eradicated. Corruption has not been eradicated from the world. Corruption still exists, and will continue to do so in the future. But we should be at a tolerable level.

He said this while inaugurating the district office of Kishoreganj Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) at Nagua (Battala Mor) in the district town on Sunday morning. He further said that earlier ACC had to come from Mymensingh to conduct investigation of the case. 

The ACC will be able to complete the investigation of the case easily through this office. In view of the ongoing cases in Kishoreganj, the office was initially started with seven officers to speed up their activities.

Deputy Commissioner Moha­mmad Shamim Alam presided over the inauguration function. Police Super Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar) and Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption Commission Salauddin was present as a special guest. Later, an exchange meeting was held in the conference room of the deputy commissioner.
