Asif Nazrul inaugurates skill trade programme in Tangail

Dr. Asif Nazrul, Adviser to the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, stated that the skill trade programme launched in Tangail is the first of its kind in the history of Bangladesh. He expressed hope that if students can acquire these skills, they will be able to secure better jobs abroad.

He made the remarks on Saturday afternoon while speaking to journalists at the inauguration ceremony of a skill development programme for SSC examinees at three Technical Training Centers (TTCs) in Tangail.

Dr. Nazrul also highlighted the need for better healthcare services for returning expatriates, announcing plans to build a hospital funded by expatriates for their own benefit.

He further noted that the current government has introduced several facilities for expatriates, including easier access to loans through the Probashi Kallyan Bank. He mentioned that manpower export to Japan is underway, and discussions with several other countries are ongoing to send workers soon.

Among others present at the event were Tangail Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque, Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman, and Engineer Md. Salah Uddin, Director of the Bureau of Manpower, Employment, and Training.
