Asian University Presidents Forum inaugurated

The three-day long ‘18th Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF)-2019’ was inaugurated in at Radisson Blu hotel in the capital on Saturday.

In participation with 15 Asian countries, the Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF) and the Daffodil International University (DIU), in collaboration with the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB), jointly organised the three-day long event. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni formally inaugurated the event as the chief guest. Sheikh Kabir Hossain, Chairman of the APUB, among others, was present as the special guest at the opening function.

In her speech as the chief guest, Dr. Dipu Moni expressed her hope as saying that the AUPF-2019 will create a great opportunity for our universities to exchange knowledge among other universities of the Asian countries. She thanked Daffodil International University authorities for arranging this event.

A total of 150 presidents, rectors, and vice-chancellors of 40 universities of different countries are taking part at the program. Baybars Altuntas, the chairperson of World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) in Turkey is supposed to present the keynote speech.

The slogan of the function is ‘Future of Entrepreneurship Education and Experiential Learning: Determinants of Developing Successful Entrepreneurial Eco-System in Asian Economies’.

AUPF provides a platform for networking and discussing the way forward as well as challenges facing the education sector. The Asian University Presidents Forum originated through a friendly collaboration in December 1999.
