Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been ensuring fundamental rights of the homeless and landless people through implementation of Ashrayan Project throughout the country.
All of the landless and homeless people will get brick-built houses in phases as the Premier has a commitment of doing the same successfully.
Senior Secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration Mohammed Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury came up with the observation while distributing rice and blanket among the beneficiaries of Kasiadanga Ashrayan Project under Paba Upazila in Rajshahi district on Thursday as chief guest.
On the occasion, each of the 45 families was given 20 kilograms of rice and one blanket on the occasion of Mujib Barsha.
Commissioner of Rajshahi division GSM Zafarullah, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil and Additional Deputy Commissioner Shariful Haque also spoke on the occasion with Paba UNO Lasmi Chakma in the chair.
Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury termed the implementation of the Ashrayan project as the bravery and well-thinking steps of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He said a total of 4,321 families have been detected as homeless in Rajshahi district and all of them will get houses under the Ashrayan Project.
