Ashish Kumar Dey (ptbnewsbd.com) and Mohosinul Karim Lebu (Observer) were elected president and general secretary respectively of Shipping and Communication Reporters Forum (SCRF).
The 17-member newly elected executive committee was announced for next two years during a meeting of SCRF at a city hotel chaired by its ex-president Anisur Rahman Khan yesterday.
The other elected members are— vice-president Amaresh Roy (Samakal), joint secretary Rajan Bhattacharya (Janakantha), organizing secretary Lion Jahangir Alam (UNB), finance secretary Habibullah Mizan (Bangladesh Post), publication secretary Habibur Rahman (Inqilab) and office secretary Asaduzzaman Biku (Purbanchal).
The elected executive members are—Anisur Rahman Khan (The Independent), Pinaki Dasgupta (Ittefaq), Rafiqul Islam Sabuj (Somoyer Alo), Jilani Milton (Naya Diganta), Sohel Rana (Channel 24), N Roy Raja (Bhorer Kagoj) and Riaz Hossain (Desh Rupantor).
SCRF was formed in 2007 for enhancing the professional capabilities of thee journalists who cover shipping and communication related news.
