Although Asaduzzaman Noor is currently busy with politics, he is more famous and well known to the public as an actor and recluse. He was also a former Minister of Cultural Affairs. Despite being busy with politics, Asaduzzaman Noor did not veer away from his original identity as an artiste. From time to time he finds opportunities to get involved in acting and recitation. Asaduzzaman Noor’s new album ‘Jodi Ei Banglae Asho’, commemorating Nusrat Jahan Rafi who was brutally burned to death, is being released in that continuation. Kolkata’s popular recital artiste Dalia Basu Saha has also recited in the album with him.
In the album, they recite 10 poems by poet Ram Chandra Das.
The titles of the poems are ‘Jodi Ei Banglae Asho’, ‘Shudhu Shanti Chai’, ‘Ami Ei Juger Meye Jodi’, ‘Apor Belae’, ‘Shyamol Shondhyar Kabya’, ‘Dabnaye Rakhte Parbe Na’, ‘Iye’, ‘Robi-Nazruler Bongodorshon’, ‘Gredarthi’ and ‘Tak’.
The album’s release was held on Friday evening at Chhayanaut. Former finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, poet and former senior secretary Shyam Sundar Sikder, among others was present present on the occasion. The album ‘Jodi Ei Banglae Asho’ was released under the banner of the G-series.
