The two-day connoisseur and artist grand conference has started in Bogura in a colorful arrangement. Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Chair Professor Dr Syed Anwar Hossain inaugurated the grand conference by hoisting a festoon after the performance of the national anthem at Shahid Titu Auditorium square in the city organized by Sammilit Sanskultur Jot Bogura.
In the opening ceremony, President of Combined Cultural Alliance Bogura Taufiq Hasan Maina presided over the speeches of the honored guests, Prime Minister's Speech Writer Nazrul Islam, District Awami League General Secretary Ragebul Ahsar Ripu, Dainik Kartowa Editor Mozammel Haque, Beat School and College Chairman Shahabuddin Saikat. Under the direction of Abu Saeed Siddiqui, general secretary of Sammilit Sanskultur Jot Bogra, artists and workers of all cultural organizations of Bogura were present. After the inauguration of the program by blowing balloons and festoons, a colorful procession of the city took off from Shahid Titu Auditorium. Cultural workers participate in the procession dressed in various costumes including Vedas, Yatras, Lathi games, horse carts, fiddles, drums. Adding a different dimension to the procession is the participation of the equestrian Tasmina with her horse. At the end of the procession, artists from different organizations of Bogura performed theme songs and dances at Shahid Titu Auditorium. Then the guests spoke in the discussion meeting.
According to the organizing committee, artists who grew up in Bogura district are now crossing the borders of the country to show their skills in foreign lands. The purpose of the two-day conference is to build a bridge of friendship and brotherhood between the past and present generations of artists and artists of all stages, who have contributed to the greater Bogura.
In this two-day event, 100 people including poets, writers, dancers, sculptors, journalists and artists will be felicitated.
In the opening speech Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Chair Professor Dr Syed Anwar Hossain said, we got independent sovereign Bangladesh under the leadership of Bangabandhu. Bangladesh is moving forward under the leadership of that leader's daughter. This conclave of connoisseurs and artists of Bogura proves the non-communal Bangladesh. Artists have come back to their roots.
