Army to provide all-out supports to prevent virus

Brigadier General of 55 Artillery Brigade Command of Bangladesh Army exchanged views with the district administration, police, health officials at the conference room of DC office in Magura on Saturday to discuss the coronavirus situation. ‘

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Magura Dr Ashraful Alam, Major Raju Hossain, Police Super Khan Mohammad Rezwan, Civil Surgeon Dr Pradeep Kumar Saha, LGD’s Deputy Director Mahbubur Rahman, Magura sadar hospital superintendent Swapan Kumar Kundu, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Sifian were present at the meeting, among others. 

In order to ensure social distance to prevent coronavirus, the meeting they  recommended the hats bazaar is set to fixed time, increase the number of separate isolation centre for corona patients outside the general hospital, keep the institutional quarantine and isolation centers as far away as possible with the necessary tools, ensure social distances and distribute relief. 

Brigadier General Baqi said, “There is a need to have separate arrangements for the treatment of corona patients in each district and upazila so that ordinary patients do not feel threatened to going or staying the hospital. 

In addition to preventing corona, it is important to regularly monitor the quality and applicability of the materials used by ordinary people, including the health department. Besides, all should work together to prevent various propaganda including rumors. If everyone comes together we must win in the Corona War.” 

The brigadier general assured all assistance from the Army to prevent coronavirus. General Baqi later visited the Magura 250-bed hospital’s Isolation Department and the Quarantine Center in the Women's College area. He also visited the army's free medical camp at the premises of  Hajipur Secondary School.

Magura DC Dr Ashraful Alam said, “Government and non Government officials from all levels are working jointly with local parliamentarians and public representatives to prevent coronation in Magura. 

In addition to the government relief facility, six thousand needy people will be given 20 kg rice per month at a rate of Tk 10 per kg in open market sale centre  in different places of the district. Pradeep Kumar Saha, Civil Surgeon said that the health department have all the necessary materials to cope with corona except Musk-95.
