The Bangladesh Army conducted an early morning operation in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga on Thursday, arresting a criminal, Saidur Rahman (38), along with a foreign-made pistol, two magazines, and 15 rounds of ammunition.
The raid took place near the Dashami Bridge area. Following the arrest, army personnel also recovered two button phones from the scene. Saidur Rahman is known as a top-listed criminal in the region.
After completing the necessary search, the seized arms and the detainee were handed over to Damurhuda Police Station for further legal action.
According to army sources, such operations are part of an ongoing effort to maintain law and order and ensure public safety.
The army has urged citizens to report any criminal activity to the nearest military camp or law enforcement agency to support continued peace and security.
