Miscreants brutally killed the wife of an army member who was on a mission abroad after entering her house in Mollapara area of Sherpur district town.
According to locals, Sauravi, daughter of Shafiqul Islam of Charsherpur Nayapara in Sherpur Sadar Upazila, got married to Nazim Uddin, son of Abdul Halim of neighboring Sreevardi Upazila. Army member Nazim Uddin is currently on a mission in Sudan.
His wife Sauravi was living with her two children at her home in Mollapara mahalla.
At some point in the night, miscreants cut the power line of the house and entered the house, killing Sauravi with a sharp weapon.
However, the relatives said that they did not take any goods from the house. Later this morning, the police got the news and recovered the body from the spot.
Police have already launched an investigation. Sherpur Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mohammad Aminul Islam told reporters that those responsible would be found soon and brought under the law.
