As per order of Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed, Bangladesh Army continues humanitarian assistances across the country as part of combating the global pandemic Covid-19, said an ISPR press release on Saturday.
As part of these humanitarian task, from April 30 to May 6, Ramu Cantonment, Bogra Cantonment, Ghatail Shaheed Salahuddin Cantonment, Chittagong Cantonment, Cumilla Cantonment, Mirpur Cantonment and Rangamati and Khagrachhari Region of Bangladesh Army provided reliefs among 3,269 helpless families in the adjoining areas.
Among the relief items, there were rice, sugar, flour, potato, soap and salt.
These humanitarian assistances of the armed forces will continue as long as the coronavirus situation does not improve.
