Army chief urges to face challenges of 21st century

Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed has called upon the members of Engineering Corps to prepare themselves to face staunch challenges of the 21st century by achieving efficiency through receiving modern, sustainable training. The Army chief was addressing as the chief guest at the 7th Colonel Commandant Installation Ceremony held at Kadirabad Cantonment in Natore on Monday noon.

Earlier, General Aziz Ahmed was honoured as the 7th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineers of the Engineer Centre and School of Military Engineering at the Kadirabad Cantonment of Natore. A smart contingent of the army of Engineering corps paid the guard of honour to the Armed Forces chief on his arrival at the Kadirabad cantonment at 11-00 am Monday. Later on, the Senior Commander and Senior Subedar Major of Corps of Engineers let wore the rank badge to the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineers to the Chief of Army Staff. Later he received the Darbar aiming at the members of Corps of Engineers. 

After the end of the Darbar, the Colonel Commander visited the Quarter Guard and placed floral tributes at the foot of the Memorial Plaque of the valiant martryred in the War of Liberation. According to the conventions of the Armed Forces, paying deep respect, the Chief of Army Staff was installed at the seat of a paternal-guardian by entitling him the Colonel of the Regiment. Armed forces high-ups, civilian elites and members of Engineering Corps were present at the installation ceremony.
