Army chief to join Chief of Army Symposium in Australia

Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed on Monday left Dhaka for Australia on an official visit.

 During his visit, he will participate in the Chief of Army Symposium-2023 and the Land worthiness Symposium to be held in the Perth city of Australia from Tuesday. The mega event will be ended on Wednesday. The aim of this symposium is to create an atmosphere of mutual trust, develop professional relations and strengthen the regional security system through the development of relations between the ground forces of friendly countries. Apart from participating in the symposium, the army chief will also participate in bilateral meetings with army chiefs and other high-ranking military officials from different countries and discuss various issues of mutual cooperation.

According to the official websites of Australian Army, the Chief of Army Symposium (CAS) 2023 showcases Army’s enduring commitment to innovation and fostering partnerships with their allies, partner forces and Defence Industry.

The event is hosted by the Chief of Army, Lieutenant General, Simon Stuart.

CAS 2023 is comprised of presentations from eminent thinkers on topics relevant to land forces, interactive panel discussions, the CAS Expos Series (Army Innovation Day 2023, Army Robotics Expo 2023 and Army Quantum Technology Challenge 2023) and a series of official functions.

 After the visit, the Army Chief is expected to leave Australia on  September 2  and return to Bangladesh on September 3.
