Bangladesh Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed on Saturday left for the USA on a five-day official visit. During the visit, the Army Chief is scheduled to meet Military Adviser of UN Peacekeeping Operations, well known as MILAD, Assistant Secretary General of Department of Operational Support (ASG-DOS) and Under Secretary General of Department of Peacekeeping Operations (USG-DPO), said an ISPR release, reports BSS. It is expected that the visit of the Army Chief to the USA would play an important role in increasing the number of Bangladeshi peacekeepers as well as Bangladesh representatives at the policy level in UN Peacekeeping Missions. General Aziz Ahmed will return home on July 10.
