General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, Chief of Bangladesh Army, left Bangladesh for Turkey on an eight-day official visit on Wednesday.
According to the ISPR handout, General Shafiuddin will lead an eight-member delegation of the Bangladesh Army.
During his stay, he will meet Turkey’s Minister of Defense, Assistant Minister of Defense, President of Turkey's Defense Industries, Chief of Staff of Turkish Armed Forces, Land Force Commander and other senior military officials.
During the meeting, he will discuss to strengthen existing relation and mutual cooperation between the armies of the two countries. He will also visit Turkey’s national Museums, War College, Aerospace Industries and other historical sites including Army Aviation of Turkey.
The army chief is scheduled to return to Dhaka on 26 August.
