Army chief inaugurates BUP dev project

Army chief General Aziz Ahmed on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of infrastructure development project (Phase-1) of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in the capital, an ISPR press release said.

Among the infrastructures under the project the notable ones are a 15-storied building of Faculty of Business Administration, a 15-storied building of Faculty of Arts and Social Science, a 15-storied building of Faculty of Science and Technology, a 6-storied building of Library, BUP bridge (connecting bridge of west and east campus) and BUP Swadhinata Auditorium, the release added. 

It is expected that construction of all infrastructures will be completed by 2021. 

At the end of the foundation stone-laying ceremony, a special prayer was held for the successful completion of all development works and overall prosperity of BUP. Among others, high officials of Armed Forces, invited guests, media activists and all BUP high officials were also present in the ceremony.
