Chief of Bangladesh Army General Aziz Ahmed has obtained Ph.D degree on ‘Border Management Challenges of Bangladesh Border Guard: Issues in Transnational Threat’.
Academic Council and Syndicate of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) at a meeting on Sunday approved the Ph.D degree, sources said.
Professor Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, Vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur was the supervisor of the thesis.
Professor Dr Mita Banerjee of Kanyashree University in West Bengal was the external examiner.
BUP Vice-chancellor Professor Dr M Abul Kashem Mozumder, Professor Dr Mohammad Mozahidul Islam of Jahangirnagar University, and Rashed Uz Zaman of International Relations of University of Dhaka, were the panel members. General Aziz Ahmed was Ph.D student in the 2016-2017 session of BUP.
