A medical campaign was organized in Charui Para area of Kuhalang Union of Bandarban Sadar Upazila at 10 am on Monday by Bangladesh Army.
This medical campaign was organized under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Mahmudul Hasan, Zone Commander of Bandarban Army Zone. In the said medical campaign, patients suffering from long-term diseases including women, children and men arrived from different remote areas of Kuhlang Union. This campaign was organized under the leadership of Captain Asadul Islam, Regimental Medical Officer of Bandarban Army Zone. In this campaign, about two hundred common people are provided with free medical services, necessary medicines and necessary procedures after diagnosis for various problems related to various complex and difficult diseases including eye, nose, ear, throat, women and children and list of cataract patients. Later they were assured that arrangements would be made for eye surgery.
Zone Commander of Bandarban Army Zone, Lieutenant Colonel Mahmudul Hasan said, Bandarban Army Zone under 24 Infantry Division is constantly working tirelessly to ensure health care in the remote areas of the hilly areas, starting from Corona vaccination to all types of medical services, peace and order and prosperity. Today's medical campaign is in continuation of that. The army is providing door-to-door medical treatment to the people, as there is no adequate medical facility in the hilly areas. Besides, he called on everyone to maintain the peace, harmony and development of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, avoid drugs and keep themselves away from various terrorist activities. He also promised that such philanthropic activities will continue in the future as well.
