A total of 377 pieces of Yaba tablets, worth an estimated Tk 113,000 were recovered in a 9 APBN operation in the Bayezid Bostami police station area of Chittagong city. A drug dealer was arrested at the time.

Armed Police sources said that accused Minu Akhtar (35) was arrested inside Jamal's bedroom in ward no. 7 Burma Clcolony under Bayezid police station in Chittagong last Wednesday night. 377 pieces of Yaba tablets, worth an estimated Tk 113,000, were recovered from him. Another accused Mohammad Jamal (36) escaped during this time.
Assistant Superintendent of Police of 9 Armed Police Battalion Anshu Kumar Dev led by SI Rajib Chowdhury conducted the anti-drug operation.
A case was registered under the Narcotics Control Act at Chittagong Bayezid police station against the arrested and absconding accused.
