Armed police exercises for security of Sundarbans

Armed police exercises were held at Munshiganj of Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira to establish proper security of the Sundarbans, forest dwellers and coastal people. These armed police exercises were conducted from Saturday morning till night.

 Satkhira Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Shyamnagar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Jamirul Islam, Shyamnagar Police Station OC Nazmul Huda led the exercises. A vigilant team of DB police, Shyamnagar police and special team of district police took part in the exercises.

Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman said the Sundarbans is a natural resource of Bangladesh. Bangladesh police are committed to protect the heritage of the Sundarbans as well as establish security.

Attempts to smuggle or plunder the resources of the Sundarbans will be severely suppressed. The stronger the crime cycle, the stronger are the police forces. Satkhira district police are in zero tolerance with any kind of criminal activities.  

In establishing security in the Sundarbans, the police will show maximum strictness against crimes and criminals. Responding to the call of the police, the police superintendent advised all the criminals including bandits and pirates to surrender to the law.

Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman gave various directions to the police personnel for proper security in the Sundarbans area.At the same time, he called for action to be taken in the wake of the global epidemic.
