A Dhaka court on Monday placed former Dhaka South unit Jubo League vice-president Enamul Haque Arman on a five-day fresh remand in a narcotics case filed against him with capital’s Ramna Police Station, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah passed the order as the accused was produced before the court after end of his five-day remand in the case. Investigation officer and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-1 sub-inspector Abdul Halim pleaded to place him on a 10-day remand, while Arman’s lawyer stood for his bail.

After hearing both the sides, the court placed him on remand. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain on October 15 placed Arman on a five-day remand in the narcotics case. RAB on early October 6 arrested former Jubo League leader Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat and his associate Arman from village Kunja Sreepur of Alkora union under Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla district.
