Chattogram Apollo-Imperial Hospital Authority has announced to perform cardiac surgery at a lower cost than in India. Chairman of the hospital Wahid Malek gave this information in a press conference on Thursday afternoon.

Chief executive officer of the hospital Dr. Anand N Rao said, "No matter how big the heart problem is, there will be good treatment here for a certain amount of money."  In India where cardiac surgery costs 3.5 lakhs and total 6-7 lakh taka. We will get the same treatment here for just 2 lakh 65 thousand taka.

Wahid Malek said, we started the journey of this hospital from the thought of why the patients of Chittagong would go outside the country for better treatment.  We have only one goal.  That is that our relatives, friends who are there should get world class healthcare.  Here the doctors listen to the patient.

Now the hospital has a good team of 75 doctors, where earlier there were only 25. Cardiac Anaesthesiologist Suman Sikder, Chief Nursing Officer Dr Prakash KN, Santa Rani Saho, Head of Business Development Manas Majumder, Cardiac Surgeon Sakhawat Hossain Shakeel and Senior Anaesthesiology Consultant Masud Ahmed were present at the time.

Its known that on 15th June 2019 Apollo-Imperial Hospital was officially inaugurated by Narayana Healthcare Chairman Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty.  Later, Apollo Hospitals Group signed a contract with the hospital for 10 years.
