If any decision is taken about this year's Higher Secondary and JSC-JDC examinations, it will be officially announced, said the Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education Md Mahbub Hossain.
He also said that the decision on opening the educational institution would be taken after August 25.
“When we will take exams, it will not be a secret decision. We will make an announcement publicly. The announcement will be made through appropriate approval and the appropriate authority. There is no reason to spread rumors about this.”
The Secretary of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education said, “HSC is a public examination, which involves a large number of our students. If we spread rumors and create confusion about it, I would say that there will be a big deviation from the responsibility towards the society, towards the students. ”
He made the remarks in response to a question from reporters at the Secretariat on Monday.
“The education minister has made it clear that whenever we take the exam, we will inform everyone with two weeks' notice. We will announce the date of the test publicly,” he said.
Due to the increasing prevalence of coronavirus in the country, all types of educational institutions were declared closed on March 17. The lockdown started on March 26, leaving all offices, courts and vehicles closed across the country.
After 66 consecutive days of general holidays, limited numbers of offices have been opened from 31 May, but the holidays of educational institutions have been extended till 31 August.
Although educational institutions were allowed to open offices in early June for administrative activities, no institution was allowed to start classroom education activities.
