Antibodies will remain even after 6 months of vaccination: CVASU

Adequate antibodies are still present in the human body six months after the two-dose vaccine to prevent coronavirus (Covid-19).  A recent study led by Dr Gautam Buddha Das, Vice Chancellor of Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), revealed this information.

The study found that about 62 percent of those who received a single dose of the vaccine had antibodies in their bodies, and about 99 percent of those who had received a two-dose vaccine.

In addition, about half of human beings have developed natural antibodies without vaccination.  Again, the first dose recipients of the vaccine produce 3 times more antibodies than the naturally occurring antibodies, and 5 times more antibodies are produced in the body of the two dose recipients.

According to the researchers, the study was conducted on a total of 746 people from March to September with doctors, nurses, patients, patient assistants, cleaners and garment workers from various government and private hospitals in Chattogram.  Of these, 223 took the first dose and 231 took two doses of the vaccine.  Besides, the remaining 292 people did not get any vaccine.

Studies have shown that about half of those who have not been vaccinated have naturally produced antibodies.  About 62.33 percent of those who took the first dose and about 99.13 percent of those who took the two doses produced corona antibodies.

Statistics show that even without the vaccine, the human body naturally produces 53.71 units (DU / ml), 159.08 159 units with one dose of vaccine and 255.46 units of antibody with two doses of vaccine.

The study found that the amount of antibodies (175.1 units) in the first month of taking the first dose of corona vaccine decreased by 25 percent in the second month.  The amount of antibodies (324.42 units) two months after the second dose is reduced by 21 percent in the fourth month.  In the sixth month, it was 3.4 percent lower than in the fourth month.

CVASU VC  Dr Gautam Buddha Das said that those who took two doses of the vaccine in the study had enough antibodies to protect their bodies even after six months.  In addition, about half the human body produces antibodies naturally.  However, naturally occurring antibodies are inferior to vaccines.
