Defeated forces in the War of Liberation in 1971, in collaboration with some communal and radical extremist groups are trying to destabilise the peace of the country and embarrass the government as well. According to sources.
As part of their ill-motive they are hatching various conspiracies to tarnish the image of Bangladesh. They are trying to create anarchy and panic by vandalising business establishments and transports, including train and buses.
They are attacking the public and law-enforcers, obstructing transport movement causing immense sufferings to the peace- loving people of the country.
The sources further said, the anti-liberation and communal forces in an unholy nexus with conspirators are carrying out various destructive activities by misguiding the religious people and innocent students of different madrashas.
These communal forces are also carrying attacks on the people of different minority communities to destroy the communal harmony and tarnish the image of Bangladesh.
Besides, a section of radical Islamist leaders and the conspirators are delivering provocative speeches and spreading rumours through different social media.
In their bid to destabilise the peaceful situation of the country, the anti-liberation and communal forces carried out various destructive acts in the capital city of Dhaka, Chattogram and some other places. They also called a countrywide day-long hartal programme today (Sunday).
It may be recalled that the anti-liberation forces and conspirators have re-emerged at a time when the entire Bengali nation was celebrating the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of the Independence of the country.
Both the programmes were celebrated at home and abroad. The programmes were also participated by many world leaders, including presidents and prime ministers of many countries.
The defeated forces are still active as the Bangladesh led by Sheikh Hasina has made extra-ordinary progress in different fields. It has been upgraded to a developing country and is now called an emerging tiger.
Meanwhile, the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the elder daughter of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, vowed to foil all the ill-motivated attempts of any quarters to destablise the situation of the country.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Saturday said that the government would not tolerate any kind of vandalism and destructive activities by any forces.
Besides, ruling Bangladesh Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, also the Minister for Road, Transport and Bridges, said the Awami League, along with the people of the country will resist any kind of destructive activities and ensure public security.
Obaidul Quader said the communal and evil forces have again resurfaced.But those evil and communal forces will be dealt with strong hands to make a meaningful independence celebration.
He also said that conspiracies are still being hatched against the government and also against the country by the vested quarters.
Obaidul Quader urged all the partymen and people of the country to unite against such communal, evil and anti-liberation forces.
