Anti-liberation forces in our country are unable to accept the independence of Bangladesh which we earned through nine months of bloody warfare. Not only did they attempt to prevent the country from gaining independence, they are continuing to conspire and attempting to bring chaos in society.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has repeatedly warned about the anti-liberation forces that are running these political parties. They continue to speak negatively about Bangladesh and its people, at home and abroad. They also try to sow disharmony amongst people by pitting one community against each other.

Those who did not want the independence of Bangladesh, are now hatching conspiracies against the country. They are spreading malicious rumors consistently and bring disorder. These people must never be allowed to come to power. Once in power, they will do everything to destroy the progress achieved by Bangladesh in the last 48 years.

The kind of mentality that detests

 freedom and glorifies oppression

must not be allowed to grow

The anti-liberation forces carry out terrorist activities and support militancy by providing financial and physical support. They are not afraid of the law enforcement agencies and carry out atrocities against the Bangladeshi people with impunity.

People from all walks of life must come together to defeat the anti-liberation forces. The kind of mentality that detests freedom and glorifies oppression must not be allowed to grow. From a young age, all Bangladeshis are taught the value of freedom and liberty. We all learned the significance of being able to speak our mother tongue from the Language Movement of 1952. We learned the importance of sovereignty and national dignity from the sacrifices of our valiant freedom fighters during the Liberation War.

The fact that there are people in this country who stand against everything that we fought for in 1971 is a terrifying one. They not only want to oppress us, they also want to see Bangladesh defeated in the global stage.

We must not compromise on the issues of values, as well as the spirit of the Liberation War. The hard earned independence is a matter of pride for all Bangladeshis. We must remember and honor the sacrifice and lives that were lost during the liberation movement. Anyone who speaks ill of our freedom and our nation must be dealt with necessary force.
