While participating in the discussion on a motion brought under section 147 of the rules of procedure of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) marking its golden jubilee, both treasury and opposition lawmakers said the anti-liberation force is the main barrier to the constitutional form of government.

The anti-liberation force under the umbrella of BNP is the main obstacle to the constitutional form of government, they said. The lawmakers said the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had introduced parliamentary form of government for the welfare of the people while the anti-liberation force is working to destabilise the country through neglecting constitutional consistency.

The BNP-Jamaat clique has been hatching conspiracy in many ways since long. They are deliberately spreading propaganda at different platforms against the government and the country. Besides, BNP is persuading foreign countries to go to power. But BNP's lobbying to foreigners would yield no result as people are the main force to bring a party to power.

BNP-Jamaat will not be able to bring down the incumbent government by agitation. The party is now involved with conspiracies and propaganda as it fears about its political future.

BNP should now shun the politics of

malevolence and start strengthening its

organisational activities

It is known to all that BNP is a democracy-destroying evil political force. The party is visible enemy of democracy and flag bearer of communal politics and instigator, patron of anti-liberation forces.

The party’s senior leaders are now desperate to make the country a failed state and its people confused. They are criticising the government constantly on social and electronic media and their only job is to push the country towards darkness. BNP’s good governance meant strangling freedom of expression, holding voter-less elections, snatching people’s voting rights, killing of people for electricity and fertiliser, money laundering and torturing minority community.

It was the BNP, which was responsible for creating the anarchic situation in the country that led to the declaration of emergency in January 11, 2007, popularly known as 1/11 changeover. Besides, the party’s violent activities during its rule or in opposition between 2001 and 2015 created panic among the people. As a result the party lost peoples’ confidence. The party should now shun the politics of malevolent and start strengthening its organisational activities to rejuvenate its rank and file and prepare for the next general elections. The party’s high command and senior leaders will also have to work to regain public trust by taking part in the next general elections. Therefore, shunning the path of conspiracy, BNP should join the 12th national parliament polls under the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led government as it does not have any option to boycott it.
