The construction of a modern Upazila office for Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) has officially begun in Gurudaspur, Natore.
The inauguration ceremony took place on Wednesday, led by Ashish Kumar Bhattacharya, Commander of the Rajshahi Range of Ansar and VDP.
Special guests included Upazila Nirbahi Officer Fahmida Afroze, Divisional Assistant Director Dr Lutfor Rahman, Natore District Commander Basudev Bosh, and District CA Md. Jalal Uddin Molla.
Also present were Gurudaspur Ansar and VDP Officer Mosammat Tahmina Khatun, retired officer Mosammat Khaleda Akter, Upazila Engineer Milon Mia, and PIO Aminur Rashid.
Speakers emphasised that Ansar and VDP members are vital to rural security and development, and the new office will enhance their service delivery.
