Another accused gave confessional statements in the court in a case filed in connection with killing dentist Dr Ahmed Mahi Bulbul in Kazipara in capital Dhaka.
Two separate Metropolitan Magistrates’ courts in Dhaka recorded their statements on Tuesday. The four snatchers arrested in the case gave confessional statements. After the remand, two accused Md Raihan alias Sohel
Apon and Russel Hossain Hawlader were produced in court. At the time, they voluntarily agreed to make a confessional statement.
The investigating officer of the case, Inspector (unarmed) of Mirpur Zonal Team Muhammad Delwar Hossain then requested to record their statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan recorded the statements of accused Raihan and the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sheikh Saadi recorded the statements of accused Russel. They were then sent to jail.
Earlier on April 3, accused Solaiman and Ariyan Khan Hridoy gave confessional statements in court. They are currently in jail.
On March 27, dentist Ahmed Mahi Bulbul was stabbed near the Shewrapara Metro Rail Station.
The Pro-BNP physician used to practise dentistry at the Rangpur Dental chamber in Moghbazar. He also ran a contract business called Messrs Rangpur Traders.
He succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital.
Shammi Akhter Shanti, wife of the slain doctor, filed a case against the anonymous accused.
Then on March 31, the police produced them in court. The investigating officer of Mirpur Model Police Station requested to remand them for seven days for proper investigation of the case. After the hearing, the court granted remand to each of them for four days.
