Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq on Thursday asked sub-registrars not to show any negligence towards people while serving them, as only good service can bring them out from their image crisis, reports BSS.

‘We have made the registration office, Directorate of Registration to increase their stature. We have solved the shortage of register books, paid the dues of copyists, gave appointments against the vacant posts of sub- registrars; arrangement has been made to provide them training in home and abroad. Now it is their turn to serve the people,’ the minister said.

Anisul Huq said these while addressing the farewell ceremony arranged for former inspector general of Directorate of Registration Khan Md Abdul Mannan at Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) here in the capital.

Presided over by new inspector general of Directorate of Registration Shahidul Alam Jhinuk, the function was also addressed by Law Division secretary Md Golam Sarwar as special guest.

Joint secretaries Bikash Kumar Saha and Umme Kulsum and solicitor Runa Nahid Akter were present on the occasion, among others.
