Young and promising singer Atiya Anisha, who gained prominence through ‘Channel i Shera Kontho 2017,’ has achieved a remarkable feat by winning her first-ever National Film Award in a relatively short period.

Anisha has been honoured with the National Film Award for 2022 in the category of Best Female Singer for her playback song ‘Ei Shohorer Pothe Pothe,’ featured in the movie ‘Payer Chhap.’ The song was penned by Saiful Islam Mannu and composed by Shawkat Ali Emon.

The announcement of the National Film Awards 2022 winners in 27 categories was made through a gazette notification issued by the Information Ministry on Tuesday.

Expressing her gratitude, Anisha said, “I begin with infinite gratitude to Almighty Allah. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my parents and other family members for their unwavering support. I'm also thankful to my friends who have always stood by my side. My journey began with 'Channel i Shera Kontho 2017,' and I hold deep appreciation for this pivotal platform in my life.”

“I'm also indebted to the media, which has conveyed my news to my devoted audience in various ways. I'm grateful to the jury board of the National Film Awards, as well as to the lyricist, composer, music director, and producer of each of my original songs. The Anisha I am today is a result of their hard work and time investment. I'm also grateful to Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and I look forward to receiving this honor from her. This award will inspire me to be more discerning in choosing songs in the future. I promise to deliver more exceptional songs in the days ahead. I seek the prayers and support of everyone,” she further added.
