Andrew Kishore’s funeral on July 15

Playback Samrat Andrew Kishore’s funeral rites to be completed on July 15 after the arrival of his children. The magnificent voice of the legendary singer has been silenced forever, never again can the maestro’s singing can be heard live. His voice and singing was specially unique in the music scene of the country.

He passed away on July 6 making everyone cry after suffering of cancer for a long time.

His departure has sent music fans into a sea of mourning. People of different ages and professions including the Prime Minister of the country Sheikh Hasina and President Abdul Hamid have expressed their grief. The social media is ablaze of condolences for the family of the deceased.

Meanwhile, according to the artist’s family sources, it will take time for his funeral to be completed. If all goes well, he will be buried on July 15 because his two children Saptok and Songa are now in Australia. They will wait until they return to the country. The family of Andrew Kishore said that it would take some time for Saptok and Songa to return to the country in the Corona situation.

For now, the body of Andrew Kishore has been kept in the cold storage of Rajshahi Medical College with all preparations after completing the bath. The Maharaja of Bengali music will be there till July 15.

Incidentally, Andrew Kishore has been undergoing treatment in Singapore for cancer (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma) since September last year. After nine months, Andrew Kishore, who was undergoing treatment in Singapore, returned home on a special flight on June 11 at 2.30 am. After staying at his house in Dhaka for several days, he moved to his village home in Rajshahi to consider his condition and be free from clamour. Since then he has been at the clinic adjacent to his sister’s house.
