Dr Hasan Mahmud was a student of Muslim High School, a public secondary school in Chattogram. He passed his secondary school certificate (SSC) examination in 1978 with dignity. Mohammad Ishuq is one of his favorite teachers. Ishuq, now 80 years of age, retired from the school in 1994 as the Principal.
In search of this elderly teacher, the Information Minister Dr Hasan on Friday morning went to meet Ishuq at his Bayjit Bostwamiresident. On seeing his teacher he paid respect by touching his feet. Ishuq could not hold back his emotions at that moment and broke into tears seeing his student after such a long time.
Despite being a minister and also holding senior position in the ruling party, Dr Hasan went to see his school-life English teacher. Both were in tears feeling the emotions of love and respect for each other. During the historic visit, schoolmates Jamal Naser Choudhury and Elias Dulal were also present.
