Amrita Chattopadhyay has just completed shooting for Sabyasachi Bhowmick’s upcoming film, ‘Teen Kanya’, and she is quite excited about the project. The film is based on three separate stories and revolves around three characters. Amrita is the central character of one of the stories, named ‘Good Morning Revolution’.
Talking about her character, Amrita said that she has played the role of a college student, who is actively involved in student politics. She has more depth than other students of her age. “The college girl chooses comparative literature over her medical career and her parents are not too happy with her life choices. Soon the parents get to know a secret about their daughter, which changes their perception about her,” she said. Amrita said that her character has many shades and layers.
Besides ‘Teen Kanya,’ Amrita is also quite excited about the kind of feedback she has been getting for her work in ‘Tushagni’. In the film, the actress is playing the character of a film star. It is a thriller and revolves around a happy couple – a CBI officer and his wife, who is a film actress. Besides Amrita, Debesh Roychowdhury, Arjun Chakraborty and Soma Chakraborty are also part of the film. Besides, this is the debut film of director Rana Banerjee. Director Goutam Ghose has given a voiceover in the film. The shoot took place in and around Kolkata for almost 20 days and many scenes were canned amid the greens of Kolkata’s suburbs.
